This is a new form that was sent out with the previous e-mail. This will replace the Assessment Administration Form and needs to be completed for any assessment that was given first semester as well as for all assessments given second semester to document reasons any student did not take the assessment during the assessment window. This form needs to be completed at the close of the testing window for any student who did not receive a score in illuminate. (Use your email, not mine)

Here is what World Languages is doing for the district PD Oct. 16, 2014-8 am-9:45 am

  • IlluminateEd Training: Bring your materials to add scores to IlluminateEd, if you have already done a district exam. You will need the rubric because you we enter each criterion for each student, (6 criteria)

  • Bring your computer. Please be on time. We meet from 8 am-11 am in room C-7.

  • Pre-K-12 (all teachers) will meet together at the same time at LHS in room C7. We might have some breakout time. Then we would go to adjoining rooms. C-8 for Spanish and C-1 for Elementary Spanish

  2. I can locate my assessments, rubrics and forms in the TSD WL Test Wiki. (This is a private wiki-you must join to have access. Identify yourself first)
  3. I can locate the district writing exam prompts and the writing prompts template (different word count for each level) we have had for years on the TSD Test Wiki. (Will be officially a part of your Educator Effectiveness score this year.)
  4. I can choose the correct rubric (level and task) for each assessment.
  5. I can use the rubric abbreviations to enter the scores (EACH TASK) into IlluminateEd. I can locate the abbreviations chart.
  6. I can use the conversion chart to get a percentage score to enter the assessment in my grade book in Infinite Campus
  7. I can use the norming tips from last meet to guide my grading of district assessments.
  8. I can start to review the Tier 3 interpretive assessments if time remains.


Other info
  1. Keep all your students' assessments and rubircs.
  2. For sound files, store them in a folder on your desktop. We will use them at a later date to norm them also.

  • Bring your computer and/or an iPad or other tablet. Please be on time. We meet from 8 am-11 am.

  • Pre-K-12 will meet together at the same time at LHS in room C7. We will have some breakout time in adjoining rooms later in the PD session.


Targets for Pre-K-12 PD
  1. I can find the PD agenda on the TSD WL Standards wiki.
  2. I can locate assessments, rubrics and forms in the TSD WL Test Wiki. (This is a private wiki-you must join to have access. Identify yourself first)
  3. I can locate the district writing exam prompts and the writing prompts template (different word count for each level) we have had for years on the TSD Test Wiki. (Will be officially a part of your Educator Effectiveness score this year.)

  5. I can identify all the forms, requirements, assessments, etc. I need for the pilot tests for Middle school and High Schools as well as the Elementary Spanish IS Grade 4 assessment in Feb.
